Fremont’s Sanctuary
Choir has a rich tradition of serving the Lord and leading
its congregation in worship. The 75-member choir sings in
worship every Sunday from September through June. Along
with Sunday morning worship services, the group has
presented many concerts including the popular Christmas
Concerts presented annually and two special concerts with
the California Wind Orchestra of Sacramento. In 1985, the
choir commissioned composer John Rutter to write his now
famous “Requiem.” The choir’s repertoire ranges from
Baroque and Classical to contemporary songs and anthems.
The choir is always open to new members, and interested
participants are encouraged to contact the church office.
Cheryl Eshoff is
serving in her sixth year as Director of the Sanctuary
Choir. She holds a BA in Music from the University of
California at Los Angeles, and a Masters in Choral
Conducting from California State University, Sacramento.
Cheryl serves full time as Minister of Music at Fremont
Presbyterian Church, where she oversees ten different
music, bell and dance groups. Her passion is to see God’s
people using their gifts and lifting their voices in
worship to the Lord.
