3rd Battalion, 323rd Infantry Regiment
conducts Basic Combat Training (BCT) to provide our Army with
trained, disciplined, motivated, and physically fit Soldiers
who are taught respect, discipline, attention to detail, the
Army Values, mission accomplishment, and an understanding of
the Army’s core
values.
Jonathan R. Mraz became Specialist
(E-4) Mraz on April 14th, 2005. He left his home in
Sacramento and was transported across the country to a
disgustingly hot Fort Jackson, South Carolina. While
assigned to 'E' Company, he underwent rigorous training of
both the body and mind.
Prior to graduating from BCT, SPC Mraz was
promoted to Sergeant Mraz, much to the chagrin of his Drill
Instructors. Regardless, all officer candidates
receive additional rank and pay upon completion of BCT in
preparation for officer candidate school.
