Subject: Moving Assistance
My name is Rocky Essary. I
have served 4yrs in the military with 15 months of that
spent in Kuwait and Iraq providing convoy security. Ok
enough about me down to business. I am *ETS'ing out of the
military and most of the cost for my move has to come from
my pocket. During a PCS there are many advances you can get
to compensate for the cost. Regrettably this is not the case
for me. I need a moving van and a dolly to pull my vehicle.
The cheapest I have found so far is $850 not including a
$150 re-fundable deposit. That's not including gas and food
that will be needed during the 2-day, 1200 mile adventure.

*Note: ETS (Expiration Term of
Service) is the completion date of Enlisted Soldier's
contract.

I signed out on terminal leave
this morning at 0015. I was scheduled to clear housing at
1530 on Friday, however they called me today saying they
needed me to leave today. I told them this wasn't possible.
They told me that since they already had another family for
my house, they would kick me and my stuff out onto the curb
tomorrow. So i guess I need to leave tomorrow if that is at
all possible. |
