In his own words:

On July 6th, 2009.Dr. Georgy at the Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic here in Tulsa, OK scheduled me for a Ultra Sound examination of my abdomen. It was conducted at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK.

On the morning of July 7th, 2009 Dr. Georgy called me and said that I needed an emergency operation to remove my gall bladder or I would die.

Today is August 26th, 2009. Exactly fifty-one days since I was told that I needed an "Emergency" operation to save my life. VA has no dam concern regarding my healthcare. VA is back to the same staff as they did before, under the Clinton Administration: which is "Delay, Deny and Hope you Die". I spent 20 Years of my life defending my Country, was injured often but continued to serve.

Since July 7th 2009 VA has drug me through hell, disrupted my life, caused undo stress and burden upon myself, my wife and my family. This is an example of how VA treats the Veterans of our Country. Sweeps our lives under a carpet, out of sight and out of mind.

If it wasn't for the support groups that I have contacted for assistance I'd still be crashing into the bureaucratic walls of Veterans Affairs like the thousands of other Veterans of America. I also extend heartfelt thanks to the many supporters found within Internet groups.

I have turned to the Patriot Defenders Network to work on my behalf as an advocate for any and all assistance in my VA Medical issues. I also want to thank these people that do the outstanding work helping today’s Wounded Warriors.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATIONS BY PDN

26 August 2009

FAX TO: INSPECTOR GENERAL HOTLINE (53E)
WASHINGTON, DC 20091-0410

Our organization has been asked to assist retired E7 veteran Frederick Wrede Jr. after what he describes as rude and unacceptable treatment by your call takers.  The initial contact with the hotline (800) 488-8244 was taken by your Operator #88 on Tuesday, 24 August 2009 at 3:00 PM. Your operator hung up on him as he tried to explain why he wished to file a complaint.

Today, he called again, was hung up on twice and related to me what he told on the third and final call:

"They don't take complaints at 800 488 8244 - I was told I have to go to personal advisor first, then district advisor, then regional advisor to file complaint.

6 July 2009: Ultrasound performed for abdominal complaints at Jack C. Montgomery VAMC in Muskogee, OK.

7 July 2009 Patient informed of results by VA Physician Dr. Georgy at the Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic, Tulsa, OK. Ultrasound indicated an emergency operation was necessary to remove gall bladder and that it was a life threatening necessity.

There have been more tests since, appointments and conflicting opinions between VA physicians.  Patient believes the various physicians are not consulting one another. Evidence of that conclusion is demonstrated by Patient’s most recent appointment:

24 August 2009   Appointment with liver Specialist, Dr. Richard Jesudass:  Patient informed that the operation would not be performed due to the danger of the insertion of a shunt to assist dilated veins. Told present condition does not warrant such an operation.

Dr. Jesudass stated that surgery would be performed if condition worsened and patient started passing blood orally or through the rectum.

  1. Surgeon’s comments:

  2. Only a small polyp exists;

  3. “Emergency” label not accurate.

  4. Asked who had diagnosed the surgery as an emergency, and when patient replied, “ Dr. Georgy. Dr. Jesudass stated that he didn’t know Dr. Georgy and maybe patient should go and ask him why he said it was an "Emergency".

  5. Patient replied that they are both doctors in the same building and they both have telephones. Dr Jesudass was non-responsive. Surgeon gave patient a prescription for medicine to relive the tension on his veins from his liver.

  6. UPDATE 9-2-09 Over the weekend, Mac's kidneys seem to have joined his gall bladder and liver ailments. We recommended Mac bypass the VA and go directly to an Emergency Room. In the middle of all this, his wife was in an auto accident, had to be extracted and rush to a nearby hospital. In a brief conversation with Mac, he received treatment and medications from his emergency room visit and confirmed Congressional intervention may have the VA responding to his needs.

NOTE: While waiting for his prescription, patient spoke with a Patient Advocate and received a complete copy of his Medical Records. After reviewing them, patient noticed that Tamara Jesudass, possibly related to Dr. Richard Jesduass, actually works for Dr. Georgy, the same doctor Dr. Jesudass stated he did not know.

It is now presumed that this "Emergency Operation" will not happen. In the meantime patient is vomiting bile occasionally, losing weight, has feet which are swollen up to his knees and has dozens of blood vessels that seem to break throughout his body. Does he need to get worse before he gets better? This VA paper chase has caused extreme stress upon him and his family.

PLEASE explain why the VA INSPECTOR GENERAL would refuse to take this complaint.

Same for Grete Wire at Fox and Nancy Grace. Her CNN crime show closes her daily show by honoring a fallen soldier.  We’ve suggested the VA’s conduct in Mac’s case is a crime and the last thing we want to hear, is him falling to government neglect.

Very lively and supportive discussion on Mr. O'Reilly's premium members forum.
