THE ISSUE
Last June a three-judge panel from the 9th Circuit
Court of Appeals ruled that the phrase "under God"
is a violation of the U.S. Constitution because it
creates an "establishment" of religion. (Click

This ruling not only would make it illegal for
nearly 10 million school children in nine Western
states to say the Pledge each morning!
Now after 15 months of keeping America waiting, the
U.S. Supreme Court has just agreed to hear the case,
and ultimately decide the fate of the Pledge of
Allegiance.
